PUYR TEMBÉ

PUYR TEMBÉ

Puyr Tembé, a prominent leader of the Tembé Indigenous peoples from Alto Rio Guamá in the Brazilian Amazon, holds the esteemed position of First Secretary of Indigenous Peoples of the State of Pará. She is also a Co-founder of The National Association of Indigenous Ancestral Women Warriors (ANMIGA). Puyr plays a vital role in the new award-winning film titled “We Are Guardians,” which highlights the efforts of Indigenous forest guardians and Earth Defenders in protecting the Amazon from illegal logging and mining. Alongside other Indigenous women leaders, including Minister Sonia Guajajara and Congresswoman Célia Xakriabá, Secretary Tembé works to launch innovative initiatives that unite Indigenous leaders, policymakers, and allies. Their goal is to ensure the full participation and leadership of Indigenous peoples, particularly women, in global climate negotiations on the path to COP 30 in Brazil. 4H5H MEDIA has been collaborating with Secretary Puyr Tembé to establish international relations and mediate foreign policy matters. Their efforts are focused on protecting the Amazon Forest and its biodiversity, advocating for indigenous rights, addressing climate change, and preserving ancestral roots, culture, and technology.
