Sidnei Tendler: An artist in quarantine is a 2021 short film about Brazilian artist Sidnei Tendler who cannot return to Belgium due to the coronavirus pandemic. In the film, Tendler is surrounded by his family in Brazil during lockdown and uses his time to create watercolors, reflect on his creative process, and consider politics and the global economy. Felipe David Rodrigues directs the film, which stars Paula Correia, Sérgio Correia, and Carla Tendler.

About the Director:
A partner at Maria Gorda Filmes, Felipe graduated in cinema and literature from UNESA. Some of the short films he has written and directed include Namorada Tristeza (2000) and O Casal dos Olhos Doces (2002), which were screened at both national and international festivals. He was a guest assistant professor, at Globo TV Network, working with actor and director Paulo José, and an assistant director at Canal Brasil working with Joel Pizzini and Paloma Rocha. He was the editor of the award-winning documentaries Mr. Sganzerla – Os Signos da Luz and Elogio da Graça. He co-produced, directed, and wrote the feature film A Balada do Provisório.
